Celem pracy jest ukazanie problematyki związanej z konkurencyjnością firmy „Duet” i czynników na nią oddziaływujących. W szczególny sposób zostały poddane analizie dwie grupy zjawisk. Pierwsza dotyczy determinantów zachowań i dokonywanych wyborów jej obecnych i potencjalnych klientów. W badaniach nad omawianym zjawiskiem posłużono się kwestionariuszem ankiety, który najpełniej przedstawił pozycję przedsiębiorstwa z punktu widzenia odbiorcy. Badanie przeprowadzono w siedzibie zakładu głównego w Krakowie. W założeniu autora leżało uchwycenie tych kluczowych czynników, które wyróżniają „Duet” spośród innych firm o podobnym profilu działania. Druga grupa zjawisk obejmująca elementy o charakterze ogólno społecznym i ekonomicznym, określa obecny stan branży meblarskiej, jej problemy, ale i perspektywy rozwoju. Praca jasno sprecyzowała, co jest siłą napędową firmy, a co jej „piętą Achillesa”. Wskazała obszary, które wymagają pracy i inwestycji, jak i te, które prosperują bardzo dobrze. Unaoczniła, że zdobycie dobrej opinii w branży wymaga ciężkiej pracy i poszanowania klienta. To zadowolony odbiorca jest kluczem do sukcesu.
The aim of the thesis is the presentation of competitiveness and the factors influencing competitiveness on the basis of “Duet” company. Two groups of phenomena are analyzed – one of them are the factors determining behaviour and choices made by the clients. The research method used is a questionnaire conducted in the headquarters of the company in Kraków. The results of the questionnaire present the clients’ view on the key factors distinguishing the company from other companies of a similar profile. The other phenomenon analyzed comprises socio-economical elements describing the current situation of furniture market, its problems and perspectives of development. The thesis presents the weak and strong points of the company, it describes the areas which need to be developed and invested into as well as those are very well organized. It proves that achieving a good image of the company requires hard work and respect of the clients. A satisfied client is a key to success.
