Percepcja postaw rodzicielskich a style poznawcze

Abstract

Celem prezentowanych w niniejszej pracy badań była odpowiedź na pytania: 1) Czy istnieje korelacja między retrospektywną oceną postaw rodzicielskich a Sumą wymiarów Skali Adaptacji – Innowacji?, 2) Czy osoby różniące się pod względem spostrzegania postaw rodzicielskich wykazują różnice w zakresie stylów poznawczych?, 3) Czy osoby o wysokiej i o niskiej Sumie wymiarów w Skali Adaptacji – Innowacji różnią się w zakresie percepcji postaw rodzicielskich? W badaniu uczestniczyło 305 osób (183 kobiety, 122 mężczyzn) w wieku 19 – 23 lat. Do pomiaru spostrzeganych postaw rodzicielskich zastosowany został Kwestionariusz Retrospektywnej Oceny Postaw Rodziców (KPR – Roc) w opracowaniu M. Plopy, a style poznawcze ujmowane były Skalą Adaptacji – Innowacji (KAI) autorstwa M. Kirtona. Wyniki badań pokazują, że: a) percepcja postawy akceptacji i autonomii rodziców dodatnio koreluje z Sumą S A – I u dzieci, natomiast percepcja postawy wymagania i niekonsekwencji ujemnie koreluje z Sumą S A - I. b) dzieci spostrzegające rodziców jako niekonsekwentnych i wymagających prezentują adaptacyjny styl poznawczy, a te które spostrzegają postawy rodziców jako akceptujące i autonomiczne prezentują styl innowacyjny. Postawa akceptacji i autonomii rodziców ma związek z wysokim poziomem oryginalności, skuteczności i konsekwentnym podporządkowaniem regułom u dzieci. Spostrzeganie rodziców jako niekonsekwentnych współwystępuje z niską oryginalnością, skutecznością i trudniejszym podporządkowaniem regułom. c) Dzieci o innowacyjnym stylu poznawczym spostrzegają rodziców jako akceptujących i dających autonomię, w przeciwieństwie do dzieci prezentujących adaptacyjny styl poznawczy. Dzieci o adaptacyjnym stylu poznawczym spostrzegają postawy rodziców jako bardziej wymagające i niekonsekwentne, niż dzieci o stylu innowacyjnym.

The purpose of the present research was to answer three questions: 1) Is there the correlation between a retrospective assessment of parental attitudes and sum of dimensions of the Adaption – Innovation Inventory?, 2) Do persons differing in terms of perception of parental attitudes demonstrate differences in cognitive styles?, 3) Do persons of high and low overall dimension of the Adaption – Innovation Inventory differ in the perception of parental attitudes? Three hundred five participants completed (183 women, 122 men) two guestionnaries: 1) Questionnaire Retrospective Assessment of Parental Attitudes (KPR – Roc); 2) Adaption – Innovation Inventory (KAI). The results showed that: a) the perception of the attitude of acceptance and autonomy of parents positively correlated with the sum of Scale Adaptation - Innovation in children, and the perception of posture requirements and inconsistencies negatively correlated with the sum of Scale Adaptation - Innovation. b) children perceive their parents as inconsistent and demanding presents an adaptive cognitive style, and those who see their parents as accepting attitudes and autonomous presents an innovative style. The attitude of acceptance and autonomy of parents is associated with a high level of originality, efficiency and consequent subordination rules in children. Perception of parents as inconsistent coincides with low originality, effectiveness and difficult subordination rules. c) Children of innovative cognitive style perceive their parents as accepting and giving autonomy, as opposed to children presenting adaptive cognitive style. Children of adaptive cognitive style perceive the attitudes of parents as more demanding and inconsistent, than children with an innovative style.
