Poziom i struktura lęku a poczucie jakości życia u osób uzależnionych od alkoholu w procesie leczenia

Abstract

Przedstawiona praca badawcza jest ukierunkowana na analizę funkcjonowania osób uzależnionych od alkoholu, które podjęły się trudu pracy nad sobą w procesie terapii. W projekcie badawczym wzięły udział dwie 32-osobowe grupy pacjentów lecznictwa odwykowego, znajdujące się na różnych poziomach rozumienia swoich problemów osobistych, wynikających z destrukcyjnego używania alkoholu. Pierwszą grupę stanowią osoby na początku drogi zdrowienia z nałogu. W drugiej grupie natomiast są osoby, które dokonały już istotnych zmian i nabyły wielu koniecznych umiejętności dla poprawy swojego funkcjonowania. Obie grupy poddano badaniu pod kątem dwóch zmiennych: poziomu i struktury lęku oraz poczucia jakości życia. Celem badania było wykazanie powiązań pomiędzy zmiennymi na różnych etapach terapii aby zobaczyć, czy w miarę trwania abstynencji i pogłębiania oddziaływań terapeutycznych lęk pacjentów zmniejsza się, a poczucie jakości życia wzrasta. Praca niniejsza jest też próbą przyjrzenia się, co konkretnie ulega zmianie w postrzeganiu świata i samych siebie oraz jakie czynniki wpływają na odczuwalną poprawę dobrostanu osób badanych. W procesie badawczym wykorzystano następujące metody pomiaru psychologicznego: Arkusz Samopoznania R. B. Cattella, Kwestionariusz Poczucia Jakości Życia (KPJŻ) M. Straś-Romanowskiej, Skale Psychologicznej Jakości Życia (SPJŻ) Z. Uchnasta oraz Arkusz personalny własnej konstrukcji. Przeprowadzona analiza statystyczna i psychologiczna pozwoliła na weryfikację postawionych hipotez badawczych oraz sformułowanie wniosków końcowych. Dzięki zastosowaniu wymienionych wyżej metod wykazano istnienie powiązań między poziomem i strukturą lęku a poczuciem jakości życia osób uzależnionych od alkoholu na różnych etapach leczenia.

The research paper is focused on the analysis of the functioning of people addicted to alcohol who have undertaken the effort to work on themselves during the therapy process. The two 32-person groups of patients taking part in the rehab centre treatment participated in the research project, with different levels of understanding of their personal problems resulting from the destructive process of consuming alcohol. The first group are people at the beginning of their recovery from alcohol addiction. In the second group, however, people have already made significant changes and acquired many necessary skills to improve their lives. Both groups were tested for two variables: the level and structure of anxiety and the sense of life quality. The research aimed to show the relationships between the variables at different stages of therapy to see whether, as abstinence continues and therapeutic interactions deepen, patients' anxiety decreases and their quality of life increases. This work is also an attempt to examine the changes in the perception of the world and oneself and what factors affect the perceptible improvement in the respondents' well-being. The following methods of psychological measurement were used in the research process: The Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF) by R. B. Cattell, Kwestionariusz Poczucia Jakości Życia (KPJŻ) by M. Straś-Romanowska, Skale Psychologicznej Jakości Życia (SPJŻ) by Z. Uchnast and a self-prepared personality test. The conducted statistical and psychological analysis allowed for verifying the research hypotheses and building up a conclusion. Due to the use of the methods mentioned earlier, the existence of links between the level and structure of anxiety and the sense of the quality of life of people addicted to alcohol at various stages of treatment have been demonstrated.
